Hoang Duong is a master chef and founder of Duong's Restaurant, a chain of Vietnamese-French fusion eateries. His passion for Vietnamese cuisine began at a young age, watching his father prepare traditional family meals with fresh ingredients. This influence led Hoang to use only the best local produce when cooking, ensuring seasonal availability on the menu. Hoang's skills and hard work were showcased on Top Chef Vietnam and Iron Chef Vietnam, where he finished in fourth place. He now works as a mentor for younger Vietnamese chefs, travelling around the country to provide guidance and advice. His journey culminated in the launch of the first Duong's Restaurant in Ngo Huyen Street, Hanoi, followed by another in Ma May Street and the most recent Saigon. Through his restaurants, Hoang hopes to share the flavours and variety of traditional Vietnamese dishes with a unique fusion twist.
