Nghe An Medical College was found on the Decision No.628/2003/QĐ-BGD&ĐT-TCCB dated on 14th Feb 2003 issued by Minister of Education and Training basing on the basic of Nghe An Medical Secondary School (found in 1960), under the target of becoming a qualified centre of training health workers (at college level or lower level) for the job of protecting, caring and promoting people’s health.
