Job offer: Construction Project Manager for Japanese company

Our client is a big Japanese Real Estate developer in Vietnam JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Responsibilities

• Project Management: Oversee the full project lifecycle from planning through completion, covering scope, cost, schedule, quality, and health & safety.
• On-site Supervision: Supervise onsite construction, coordinating with MEP, infrastructure, and property management functions.
• Off-site Administration: Support early project phases, including design, feasibility, budgeting, tendering, and contract administration.

Key Duties

• Plan, monitor, and supervise to ensure the project meets cost, scope, schedule, and quality targets.
• Handle legal requirements for construction, including design, licensing, and approvals.
• Conduct weekly meetings and coordinate with stakeholders for smooth project execution.
• Manage project changes as needed, keeping the technical team updated with reports.
• Approve technical and material submissions from contractors/vendors.
• Oversee handover to end-users and operators, review As-Built Documents and maintenance manuals, and manage post-construction activities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (PMP preferred).
• 7-10 years of experience in construction, with at least 3 years in a PM role.
• Willingness to work in Hanoi and travel within Vietnam when required.
• Construction Supervision and/or Management License, Class 1 is preferred.
• PMP/CAPM certification is an advantage.
• Experience with design coordination and construction management with developers, contractors, or project management consultancies.
• Familiarity with Vietnam Building Codes and construction legal procedures.
• Experience managing projects from land acquisition through to post-construction and handover.
• Strong communication skills in Vietnamese and English (TOEIC 800+).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software (MS Project)..
