It all began in the Danish town of Svendborg in 1904, when 28-year-old Arnold Peter Moller together with his father, Captain Peter Marsk Moller, established A/S Dampskibsselskabet Svendborg (the Steamship Company Svendborg) and bought a second-hand steamer of 2,200 tons deadweight which was named "SVENDBORG". Eight years later, A.P. Moller established Dampskibsselskabet in 1912, A/S (the Steamship Company of 1912). In 2003 the two companies merged under the name of A.P. Moller Marsk A/S.Today, the A.P. Moller Marsk Group employs more than 70,000 people in over 125 countries and is actively engaged in shipping, exploration for and production of oil and gas, shipbuilding, aviation, industry, supermarkets and IT services.In Vietnam, the A.P.
