Job offer: Legal and Compliance Officer

COMPANY OVERVIEW  
JAC's client is an Investment fund management company looking for a Legal and Compliance Officer

Report to: Head of Risk Management, Internal Control & Legal Affairs Department

Location: Ho Chi Minh City JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Compliance

• Conduct continuous and periodic monitoring according to the Compliance Loss Reduction Plan to ensure compliance with internal regulations, policies, and guidelines, identify/prevent non compliance/violations, and propose improvement/remedial actions for departments within the company

 

• Responsible for daily investment monitoring through Aladdin and compliance reports, including communication with the Regional Rule Encoding Group to encode new/modified rules, daily access and review of compliance tracking in Aladdin, alerting fund managers to potential deviations/violations, presenting and monitoring deviations/violations.)

 

• Promote and encourage a strong compliance culture throughout the company

 

• Support the Head of RCL in developing and implementing RCL's responsibilities regarding compliance

Risk

• Provide support to the RCL Head and reduce monitoring and reporting related to risk management issues.

Legal affairs

• Provide legal support to all other functions, including legal advice and review of documents/contracts

 

• Advising the organisation on all legal matters that may arise in its operations

Other Responsibilities

• Assist the Head of RLC in reporting to clients, local regulatory authorities, and the DS Headquarters, coordinate during audits, inspections, quality assurance assessments, and conduct compliance training for employees.

 

• Other tasks as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS  
 

• Education: Minimum of a Bachelor of Laws

 

• At least 3 years of experience working in the legal field within a multinational financial services organization

 

• Strong influencing skills and ability to engage and gain respect from colleagues

 

• Analytical and problem-solving skills

 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team as well as with mixed audiences of highly qualified legal and policy experts

 

• Strong communication skills in both English and Vietnamese

 

• Teamwork skills and professional attitude
